The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xydddddddddddddd fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ripper manages to avoid it.
Ripper moves into the clinch.
Ripper wants to take the fight to the mat but Xydddddddddddddd manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Ripper prevents the takedown attempt.
Ripper drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A nice left hand lands by Xydddddddddddddd.
Xydddddddddddddd is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ripper is defending well for now.
Xydddddddddddddd has picked Ripper up - he's going for a ride! Xydddddddddddddd dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zyd Xydddddddddddddd is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Xydddddddddddddd displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ripper.
Xydddddddddddddd swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ripper tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Xydddddddddddddd counters with a left to the body.
Xydddddddddddddd throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Ripper counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ripper.
Xydddddddddddddd manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ripper manages to get himself to full guard.
Ripper seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Ripper looks winded!
Xydddddddddddddd is looking to pass into half guard but Ripper pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Ripper is in guard.

Ripper not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Xydddddddddddddd has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Ripper sitting in guard here, content to control.
Ripper tries to free his leg and advance position but Xydddddddddddddd is retaining full guard.
Xydddddddddddddd had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ripper defends it easily.
Xydddddddddddddd is looking for a triangle here but Ripper uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A control attempt from Xydddddddddddddd but he's now mounted!
Ripper tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Ripper fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

A close round but Monster Ripper will probably get the nod.

Xydddddddddddddd jabs at Ripper's body.
Ripper tries to clinch up but Xydddddddddddddd circles away and keeps his distance.
Xydddddddddddddd ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ripper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Xydddddddddddddd swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Xydddddddddddddd throws a counter high kick but Ripper was just alert enough to avoid it.
Xydddddddddddddd is looking to wear down Ripper with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Ripper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Xydddddddddddddd's waist but Xydddddddddddddd gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ripper off to one side.
A counter left hand to the body from Xydddddddddddddd misses its target.
Xydddddddddddddd scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ripper doesn't seem bothered though.
A punch combination from Ripper misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Xydddddddddddddd. Ripper does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ripper avoids the head kick by Xydddddddddddddd.
Good exchange - Xydddddddddddddd coming out on top.
Xydddddddddddddd dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ripper takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
A head kick from Xydddddddddddddd lands but Ripper takes it in his stride.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Xydddddddddddddd throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ripper stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ripper fails in his attempt to clinch.

Xydddddddddddddd takes a swing at Ripper's ribcage but misses.

Ripper tries for a takedown but Xydddddddddddddd circles away easily
and Xydddddddddddddd counters with a right hand to the body.
Ripper is breathing heavily.
Ripper moves into the clinch.
Xydddddddddddddd drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ripper pulls his leg out and moves away.
Xydddddddddddddd throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ripper fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Zyd Xydddddddddddddd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Monster Ripper.
Ripper misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ripper doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Xydddddddddddddd to counter with a crisp jab.
Xydddddddddddddd connects with a body shot.
Xydddddddddddddd scores with a head kick.
Ripper is rocked!
Xydddddddddddddd dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Xydddddddddddddd cracks Ripper with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ripper is still on wobbly legs! Can Xydddddddddddddd finish him?
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Xydddddddddddddd throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Ripper is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
