The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fox scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Gonzales has one foot on Fox's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Steve Fox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fox closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gonzales to the mat! Gonzales manages to get full guard.
Gonzales manages to escape and get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gonzales looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gonzales decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Fox closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gonzales's guard.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Gonzales manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Fox is trying to force a seperation but Gonzales has the dominant position.
Fox is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Gonzales's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gonzales gets caught flat footed, as Fox shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gonzales looking for a triangle here. Fox is fighting it but it looks tight! Gonzales pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Fox is tapping out - this one is all over!
