Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Orlando Murphy (ranked 8131 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gill Fabron (ranked 5666 p4p, 0 weight class). Gill Fabron has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy tries to sprawl but Fabron drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Fabron is looking to advance position but Murphy won't allow it.
Fabron is trying to control the action in half guard but Murphy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Murphy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fabron on the ground.
Murphy is concentrating on defense, preventing Fabron from advancing position.
Murphy avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Fabron.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murphy is in trouble now - Fabron has advanced to mount!
Fabron tries to control but Murphy wriggling away.

Murphy suckers Fabron into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Murphy is now in Fabron's guard!
Murphy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Murphy drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fabron dives on top into guard.

Fabron might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Murphy haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Fabron is fighting to break Murphy's control of his arms but Murphy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Fabron throws an elbow that misses. Murphy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fabron's guard. Nice move by Murphy!

Murphy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Fabron is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fabron lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Fabron thows a huge punch but Murphy dodges it nicely.
Murphy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fabron is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Murphy defends it well.
Murphy wants to control but Fabron is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Fabron seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Murphy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fabron is stalling here. Murphy is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Fabron seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Murphy has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Fabron tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Murphy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Murphy swats away the attempt to clinch by Fabron.
Fabron closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Murphy is looking for a sweep.
Murphy is not content to let Fabron control the position.
Murphy keeping his opponent close.

Fabron wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Murphy, who protects the arm well.
Gill Fabron has got the better of the ground game so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The ground and pound from Fabron seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Murphy parries the strikes from Fabron easily there. Fabron is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Murphy to escape.

It looks like Gill Fabron has been cut.

Murphy tries to counter by clinching up but Fabron breaks away and moves out of range.
Murphy shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
And Fabron tries to counter it with a takedown but Murphy pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Fabron misses with a right hand
and Murphy counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Murphy.
Murphy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Murphy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Fabron has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fabron wants to control from the top but Murphy keeps moving.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Orlando Murphy will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Gill Fabron's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Murphy counters with a one-two to the body.

Fabron wants to control but Murphy is keeping him busy.
Fabron has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Murphy defend it? Fabron steps over the head and cranks it - Murphy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Fabron!
