Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick Woodard (ranked 8195 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Reefer (ranked 7301 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Reefer acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan Reefer!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reefer shoots in looking for a takedown but Woodard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reefer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Woodard tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Reefer manages to circle out of the way.

Reefer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Woodard pulls guard successfully.
Woodard is trying to control the position but Reefer postures up.
Reefer wants to control from the top but Woodard keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Woodard is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Reefer gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Woodard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick Woodard will probably get the nod.

Reefer shoots for a takedown but Woodard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Woodard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Woodard shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Woodard breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reefer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

No joy there for Woodard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Reefer shoots in and drives through. Woodard sprawls well.
Woodard throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Woodard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reefer is fending him off so far but Woodard persists. Nope, Reefer circles away and we're back to standing.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Woodard lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Reefer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Reefer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Woodard throws a hook to the side of Reefer's head but Reefer sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
No luck for Reefer with that takedown attempt.

Reefer jumps guard but Woodard turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Woodard is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Reefer can't fight it off and eventually Woodard manages to take the fight to the floor. Reefer looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Woodard is in close to Reefer's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Woodard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Reefer can do to turn this around?

Reefer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Woodard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Reefer isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Woodard stacks Reefer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Woodard!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Woodard, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
