Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kvame Zulu (ranked 99 p4p, 10 weight class) and Larry Shreve Jr (ranked 487 p4p, 54 weight class). Zulu kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Big Badaboom. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zulu takes one on the button.

It looks like Kvame Zulu has been cut.
Zulu throws out a loose jab but Shreve Jr uses good head movement to avoid it.
Zulu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shreve Jr moves away.
Zulu ducks under a wild hook from Shreve Jr.
Zulu half committed to a counter leg kick.
Zulu lands with an overhand left.
Shreve Jr wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Shreve Jr gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Zulu.
Larry Shreve Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zulu connects with a body shot that sends Shreve Jr's belly button to the back.
Shreve Jr darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Shreve Jr cracks the inside of Zulu's front leg.
Shreve Jr has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shreve Jr lands a glancing blow to the side of Zulu's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zulu tries to land a leg kick but Shreve Jr saw it coming and moves away.
Shreve Jr flicks out a counter leg kick but Zulu steps away.

Kvame Zulu's cut is getting worse.
Shreve Jr swings for the body but Zulu moves out of range.
Zulu misses with a looping right.
Zulu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Good work by Zulu as he checks the leg kick.
Zulu scores with a jab to the head.
Shreve Jr misses with a hook.
And Zulu counters with a quick kick to the body but Shreve Jr blocks it.

Shreve Jr throws a low kick but it's checked well by Zulu.
A nice inside leg kick there by Shreve Jr. That's going to slow Zulu down.
Zulu throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Zulu lands a jab.
Shreve Jr takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shreve Jr avoids the body shot from Zulu.
Shreve Jr takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Good leg kick by Zulu there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Shreve Jr slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Shreve Jr throws a body punch but Zulu moves out of range.

Kvame Zulu's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Zulu throws a lazy body kick
and Shreve Jr counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Zulu misses with a head kick.

Zulu sends Shreve Jr crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Zulu is motioning to the referee to let Shreve Jr up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Zulu is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Zulu fires out a quick counter leg kick but Shreve Jr just manages to avoid it.

Larry Shreve Jr decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
