The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. navarro tries to avoid it but Adams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag navarro to the ground. navarro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Adams shoots in for a takedown but navarro shows good takedown defense.
Adams wants to clinch.
navarro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
navarro tries for a takedown but Adams circles away easily

and Adams counters with a shoot takedown. navarro fights it but they end up in guard.
Adams in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Adams trying to control the position from guard on top but navarro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Adams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
navarro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
navarro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Adams on the ground.
Adams passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
navarro misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Adams is trying to control the action in half guard but navarro is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Adams throws a sloppy head kick and navarro moves out of range easily.
Adams misses with a takedown

and navarro counters with a nice double leg into side control. Adams won't be happy with that.
ivan navarro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dino Adams.
navarro is breathing heavily.
Adams sneaks back into half guard.
Adams slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adams looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but navarro is defending well. Adams quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! navarro has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Adams celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
