PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between BJ Trent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Falcao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trent comes to the cage accompanied by kick your ass. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Trent shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Trent was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Trent throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Falcao because Trent loaded up on that one.
Trent sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Falcao regains half guard.
Falcao wants to improve his position but Trent is controlling well.
Trent is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trent seems to be looking for submissions.

Falcao bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Trent's guard.

Falcao drops back looking for a leg! Trent is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Trent manages to kick Falcao off! Falcao jumps back into Trent's guard.
Trent knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Falcao on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Falcao is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Trent sees it coming and defends easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Falcao drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Trent manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Falcao has Trent in his guard.

Falcao working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Trent doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Trent manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Falcao had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Trent is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Falcao Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Trent's back instead.

Trent is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Trent tries to roll but Falcao sticks to his back.

Falcao is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
