Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Whitney Larsen (ranked 5429 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Alessandro (ranked 5428 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Larsen looking to score a takedown here. Alessandro is defending well but Larsen drives through and ends up in Alessandro's guard.
Alessandro is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Larsen dives into side control.

You can see the frustration on Alessandro's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Larsen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Alessandro knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Alessandro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Larsen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Larsen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Larsen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Larsen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Alessandro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Larsen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Whitney Larsen will probably get the nod.

Let's hope that Alessandro has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

It looks like Whitney Larsen has been cut.
Alessandro scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Oh Larsen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Alessandro is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Larsen is in big trouble! Alessandro is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Larsen. Poor guy.
