The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zamora.
Carter fails with a takedown attempt.
No joy there for Zamora, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carter moves in looking to clinch but Zamora pushes him off.
Ricardo Zamora seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zamora feints and as Carter raises his hands in defense, Zamora changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Zamora wants to stand but Carter has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Carter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Zamora with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A left and a right from Zamora both land. Nice combination.
Zamora misses with a double jab.
Zamora goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Carter is rocked!
Zamora lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Carter is looking to close the distance but Zamora sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Carter crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Carter is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
