The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy body kick from Rousey

and Ball counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rousey won't be happy with that.

Rousey sneaks out the side door and pushes Ball away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Rousey has a takedown stuffed.
Ball throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rousey.
Rousey misses with a takedown attempt - Ball sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ball changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Ball shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rousey manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Rousey has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ball off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

That was a close round but I would say that Huey Ball will probably get the nod.

Ball throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rousey tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ball is in Rousey's guard.
