The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rua closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dahmer circles away.
Rua misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dahmer misses with a low kick.
Dahmer throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Rua tumbling to the canvas!

Rua is rocked!

It looks like Brendon Rua has been cut.
Rua looks gassed!
Rua bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dahmer's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rua won't allow Dahmer to sweep him here.
Rua wants to control from the top but Dahmer keeps moving.
Dahmer is looking to stand up but Rua isn't so interested in that idea.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Dahmer throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rua.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dahmer, as that shot connected.
