The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willson avoids the head kick by Laraque.
Laraque lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Laraque misses with a series of wild punches.
A head kick misses from Laraque.
Laraque lands with a kick to the ribs.

Willson shoots in and bounces Laraque off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Laraque keeping full guard, as Willson tries to pass.
Willson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Laraque works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Willson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Let's hope that Willson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Laraque wants to stand but Willson is controlling the position.
Willson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Willson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Willson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Laraque looks to land a combination but Willson avoids it well.
Willson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Laraque lands a jab-cross combination.
Georges Laraque is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Laraque stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Laraque wants it to stay on the feet.
Laraque swats away the attempt to clinch by Willson.

Willson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Laraque to the mat! Laraque manages to get full guard.
Laraque wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Willson manages to pass to side control.
Willson slows the pace down in half guard.
Willson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Laraque's head.
Willson passes to full mount!

Willson throwing strikes here but Laraque is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Willson won't let Laraque get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Willson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Laraque bucks Willson off and manages to get back to his feet!
Laraque misses with a body kick.
Laraque swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Willson blocks a head kick by Laraque.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Laraque throws a left and a right that both miss

and Willson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Laraque is breathing heavily.
Well, if Willson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Laraque knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Willson on the ground.

Willson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Willson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Laraque tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Willson!
