The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch up but Escudero circles away and keeps his distance.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Escudero circles away.
Escudero looks to land a body kick but Silva moved away.
Silva takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Escudero wants to clinch

and Silva holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Silva tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
A short body shot lands from Escudero as the two fighters clinch.

Escudero manages to break the clinch.
Escudero keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Silva pushes off an throws an elbow but Escudero leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Escudero's waist but Escudero gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
Silva is looking to clinch but Escudero is avoiding it.
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt
and Silva finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Escudero clinches up against the cage.

Silva is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Escudero on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Escudero lands a nice uppercut.
Silva has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Escudero avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Frankie Escudero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rashad Silva.

Escudero escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Escudero motions for Silva to come forward. Escudero throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Escudero lands a right hand that snaps the head of Silva backwards.
Escudero lands a knee to the body.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Escudero creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Escudero's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Escudero will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Escudero pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Escudero lands with a big left! Silva is wobbled badly! Escudero comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Silva to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
