Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Manu Peralta (ranked 7998 p4p, 406 weight class) and Dimitar Stoichkov (ranked 7896 p4p, 401 weight class). Peralta comes to the cage accompanied by Moke boy - Hawaiian kickboxer. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Manu Peralta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dimitar Stoichkov!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peralta throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Stoichkov on the side of the head.
Peralta is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
It seemed like Stoichkov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Stoichkov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Peralta sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Peralta cracks Stoichkov with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Peralta misses with a takedown
and Stoichkov counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Stoichkov counters with a nice uppercut.
The crowd cheers as Stoichkov lands an impressive looking overhand right. Peralta doesn't seem phased though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Peralta shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stoichkov napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Check out the look on Peralta's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stoichkov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Peralta is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stoichkov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Peralta has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Peralta creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peralta has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Stoichkov is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Peralta yanks on the arm and Stoichkov is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Peralta.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Manu Peralta!
