Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tsukune Shiba (ranked 7446 p4p, 592 weight class) and Ferdinand Juluk (ranked 22395 p4p, 648 weight class). Shiba comes to the cage accompanied by Fall Out Boy - The Phoenix. Tsukune Shiba has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shiba tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Juluk was well out of range. Poor timing from Shiba.

Shiba tries to sprawl but Juluk drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Shiba is refusing to be controlled, as Juluk sits in half guard.
Shiba is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Juluk is trying to control. Shiba wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Juluk tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Shiba.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shiba tries to roll over but Juluk keeps him under control.

Juluk is trying to control the action in half guard but Shiba is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Juluk tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Juluk closes the distance and clinches up with Shiba, looking for a takedown. Juluk pushes Shiba against the cage but Shiba circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shiba throws a big shot that misses.
Juluk shoots in looking for a takedown but Shiba manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Juluk's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Shiba appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Juluk is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shiba sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Tsukune Shiba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ferdinand Juluk.

Juluk tries for a takedown but Shiba sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Shiba scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Juluk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Shiba digs a good hook to Juluk's body.
Tsukune Shiba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Juluk throws a head kick but Shiba moves out of range.
Shiba throws a body shot but no joy.
Juluk walks into a left hand.

It looks like Ferdinand Juluk has been cut.

Shiba clinches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shiba swings wildly with an uppercut but Juluk uses good head movement to avoid it.

Shiba's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Juluk moves out of range as Shiba strikes.

Juluk fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Shiba is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Juluk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shiba's waist but Shiba gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Juluk off to one side.
Juluk gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Shiba gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
