Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chet Mckenzie (ranked 24524 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Joseph (ranked 5029 p4p, 0 weight class). The Joseph is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chet Mckenzie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Joseph!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Roberts and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joseph misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Joseph clinches up with Mckenzie and pushes him back against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Mckenzie pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mckenzie defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Joseph.

Mckenzie forces Joseph back against the cage and clinches.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Joseph takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Joseph is trying to pull guard but Mckenzie turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Mckenzie seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Mckenzie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Joseph will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mckenzie slaps away a takedown attempt from Joseph, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Chet Mckenzie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Joseph.
Joseph cracks Mckenzie with an open hand slap.

Mckenzie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Joseph sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mckenzie somewhat.
Joseph tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Joseph dips to his left and cracks Mckenzie with an uppercut!

Mckenzie dives in and scores a takedown into Joseph's guard.
Joseph is wriggling around but Mckenzie manages to pass to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mckenzie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Joseph doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mckenzie.

Mckenzie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Joseph is just riding it out for now. Mckenzie eventually gives up the hold.

Mckenzie throwing shots but Joseph is blocking nicely.
Mckenzie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Joseph with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Joseph is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mckenzie scores with a couple of nice shots.
Mckenzie with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Mckenzie could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mckenzie is nestled in close to Joseph, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Mckenzie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mckenzie in particular looking to stall.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Joseph is trying to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chet Mckenzie will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Joseph darts in and clinches Mckenzie up against the cage.

Joseph looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Joseph throws a leg kick
and Mckenzie makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Mckenzie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Joseph gets caught napping as Mckenzie dives in and scores a takedown. Joseph manages to retain guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Joseph wants to get back to his feet but Mckenzie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mckenzie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Mckenzie makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Mckenzie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Mckenzie drops back looking for a leg! Joseph is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Joseph manages to kick Mckenzie off! Mckenzie jumps back into Joseph's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mckenzie throws a big elbow that misses.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Joseph clinches.

Mckenzie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mckenzie keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Mckenzie wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Mckenzie looks for a takedown but Joseph sprawls well.
The Joseph seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Joseph throws a head kick that half lands.

Mckenzie closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Mckenzie stands and steps away. Joseph gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mckenzie is defended easily by Joseph.
Mckenzie slips a jab and a cross from Joseph.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mckenzie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Joseph moves away.
Joseph darts in looking for a takedown but Mckenzie gets double underhooks and turns Joseph into the cage.
Joseph displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mckenzie.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chet Mckenzie showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Mckenzie has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
