Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Slot Waster (ranked 3169 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Adermundie (ranked 22259 p4p, 0 weight class). Adermundie has chosen Peak Times by Switch as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waster is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Adermundie tries to bum rush Waster with a series of wild strikes but Waster uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Waster counters with a nice double leg into side control. Adermundie won't be happy with that.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adermundie is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Waster has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Waster is looking to work his way around to Adermundie's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Waster is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Adermundie can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Waster is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Adermundie to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Adermundie shrugs it off.

Adermundie swings wildly with an uppercut but Waster uses good head movement to avoid it.
With the fighters up against the cage, Adermundie throws an elbow but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Adermundie creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Waster tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Adermundie manages to circle out of the way.
Waster takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Waster closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
