The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roll misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Roll shoots in for a double leg but Lennox sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Lennox clinches up against the cage.
Roll drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lennox gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dynamite Roll. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lennox lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Lennox is controlling the pace.
Roll gets full guard.
Roll can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lennox controls the pace.

Roll looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Roll had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lennox is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Roll Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lennox's back instead.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lennox tries to close the distance and clinch up but Roll swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Roll lands a with a good body shot.
Roll is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Lennox.
Roll changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Lennox moves into the clinch successfully.
Lennox wants to break free but Roll has control.
Roll is working for takedown but Lennox is calmly controlling the position for now.

Lennox wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Roll has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lennox clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Lennox is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Roll has Lennox flattened out and is raining down punches.
Lennox is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Roll off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Roll has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Lennox's body.
Roll is trying to stick to Lennox's back but Lennox is turning into Roll. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Roll's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Lennox.
