Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Potter (ranked 2058 p4p, 271 weight class) and Jakub Chlapik (ranked 2055 p4p, 270 weight class). Chlapik comes into a darkened arena with his song building. PIPES AND PINTS / Criticized kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jakub Chlapik has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Potter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jakub Chlapik!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter fails with the takedown
and Chlapik cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Chlapik tests Potter's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Potter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chlapik's waist but Chlapik gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Potter off to one side.
Potter seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Chlapik misses with an uppercut. Potter saw that one coming.
Potter wants to clinch but Chlapik slips to the side
and Chlapik counters with a stiff right hand.
Chlapik shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Potter with a lazy takedown attempt
and Chlapik counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Potter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A swing and a miss from Potter.
Potter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Chlapik scores with a jab to the body.
Potter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Chlapik swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Potter appears to be looking for a big counter.
Potter lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Potter dips to his left and cracks Chlapik with an uppercut!
Potter throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Chlapik to counter with a crisp jab.

Potter closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Chlapik quickly recovers to half guard.
Chlapik is trying to stand back up but Potter is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Potter is keen to just control but Chlapik is a slippery customer.
Potter is working for a submission of some sort.
Potter has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Chlapik is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Potter scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Chlapik?
Potter looking for a guillotine from mount but Chlapik is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chlapik somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Potter tries for a takedown but Chlapik circles away easily
and Chlapik counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Chlapik lands a lovely overhand right.
Potter slips a jab and a cross from Chlapik.
Chlapik pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chlapik leaves Potter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Potter closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Jakub Chlapik is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Potter connects with a body shot that sends Chlapik's belly button to the back.
Potter is looking to clinch.
Potter tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chlapik defends well and Potter ends up having to push Chlapik into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Potter tries to clinch up but Chlapik circles away and keeps his distance.

Chlapik lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Potter throws a leg kick
and Chlapik counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A clash of legs there as Chlapik blocks the low kick.
Potter throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chlapik on the side of the head.
A jab from Chlapik misses.
Potter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A left and a right from Chlapik both land. Nice combination.
Chlapik is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Potter had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Potter takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Potter tries to clinch
and Chlapik cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Potter dives in for a single leg takedown but Chlapik sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Chlapik is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Potter with a body shot.
Nice jab there from Chlapik.
A cross from Chlapik lands.
Potter misses with a combination
and Chlapik counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Potter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A jab lands there for Chlapik.
Potter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Potter tries for a takedown but Chlapik sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Chlapik lands a high kick!
Potter misses with a right hand
and Chlapik counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Chlapik getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Potter is rocked!
Potter takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Oh Potter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chlapik connects with a good right hand that stumbles Potter. Potter circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Chlapik might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Chlapik drops Potter with a huge uppercut! Potter drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Chlapik is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jakub Chlapik!
A very excited looking Jakub Chlapik made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
