Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diamond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Smilehoven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diamond will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Diamond is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Smilehoven knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Smilehoven really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diamond. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick Diamond will probably get the nod.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Diamond shoots for a double leg takedown but Smilehoven sprawls well. He's pushed Diamond's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Diamond really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Smilehoven is staying active underneath Diamond, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nick Diamond will probably get the nod.

Smilehoven looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Diamond's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Diamond will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Smilehoven is in a bad position with Diamond working for a choke. Smilehoven manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Diamond looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Smilehoven has picked Diamond up and slammed him! Diamond can't keep hold of the triangle and Smilehoven manages to pass to side control!
