PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tim Kratenberg (ranked 7745 p4p, 591 weight class) and Doctor Strangeee (ranked 7152 p4p, 575 weight class). Tim Kratenberg had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Doctor Strangeee!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strangeee throws a big shot that misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Kratenberg misses the target.
Kratenberg will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kratenberg darts in looking for a takedown but Strangeee gets double underhooks and turns Kratenberg into the cage.
Donk. Strangeee catches Kratenberg right on the button with a cross.

It looks like Tim Kratenberg has been cut.
Kratenberg fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Strangeee avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Kratenberg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kratenberg shoots in for a double leg but Strangeee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kratenberg shoots in but no luck this time.
Kratenberg looks for a takedown but Strangeee sprawls well.
Strangeee cracks a nice hook into Kratenberg's ribs.
The crowd cheers as Strangeee lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kratenberg doesn't seem phased though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kratenberg dives in and grabs Strangeee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Strangeee pushes down on Kratenberg's head and hops out.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kratenberg.
Kratenberg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kratenberg is breathing heavily.
Strangeee shoots in but Kratenberg avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Strangeee darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Strangeee pounces like a tiger and cracks Kratenberg with a vicious hook! Kratenberg is down but not out! Strangeee follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

A relieved looking Doctor Strangeee thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
