PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luis Gomez (ranked 8082 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Silva (ranked 4952 p4p, 392 weight class). Daniel Silva told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gomez but Gomez pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Gomez drives through and clinches with Silva against the cage.
Gomez tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.
Silva tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Silva gets control of Gomez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Silva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gomez's guard.

Gomez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Let's hope that Silva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
