Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dean Pritchard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Black Rob!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pritchard lets loose with a powerful body kick. Rob will feel that in the morning.
Rob scores with a takedown into Pritchard's guard.
Rob trying to control the position from guard on top but Pritchard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pritchard is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rob is controlling him.
Pritchard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rob on the ground.
Rob wants to get up but he can't break Pritchard's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Rob wants to control from the top but Pritchard keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pritchard is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Horrible takedown attempt by Rob or perhaps it was just good defense by Pritchard, which made it look bad.

Black Rob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pritchard pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Rob feints the counter takedown.
Pritchard works the jab nicely.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rob checks a leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Rob.
Pritchard misses with a body kick.
Pritchard throws a jab but it's blocked by Rob.
Rob is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Pritchard slaps away a takedown attempt from Rob, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Pritchard appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Dean Pritchard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Black Rob.
Pritchard tries a head kick but it misses.
Rob changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Pritchard.
Rob tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pritchard swivels and escapes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pritchard gets caught flat footed, as Rob shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Pritchard wants to stand but Rob is controlling the position.

Rob is pushing down on Pritchard's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pritchard is fighting to maintain full guard but Rob has managed to sneak the leg through.
Rob is trying to control. Pritchard wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Rob passes the guard and advances to mount!
Rob swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
