Barnard moves into range and connects with a jab.
Raymaker throws a lazy right hand but Barnard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Raymaker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Barnard.

Barnard has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Elly Barnard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raymaker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barnard manages to avoid it.
Barnard throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Barnard does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Barnard misses with a hook.
It looked like Raymaker was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Barnard.
Barnard throws a left and a right that both miss
and Raymaker counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Raymaker swings for the body but Barnard moves out of range.
Barnard on the wrong end of a nice jab.

The fighters circling - Raymaker throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Barnard is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Barnard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Raymaker tries to move into range but Barnard moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Barnard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Barnard pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Raymaker back to the cage. Barnard follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Raymaker was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

and Raymaker counters with a nice right hand that sends Barnard toppling to the canvas! Barnard scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Raymaker finish him?!

and Raymaker counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.

After the fight, Kai Raymaker was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
