Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Demarte Pena (ranked 2617 p4p, 138 weight class) and Kassim Suluhu (ranked 3350 p4p, 185 weight class). Pena's entrance music is Mesmo Assim. A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Demarte Pena!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kassim Suluhu!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suluhu looks to land a body kick but Pena moved away.
Pena fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Suluhu avoids it really well and circles away.
Suluhu scores with a kick to the midsection.
Suluhu closes the distance and clinches up with Pena, looking for a takedown. Suluhu pushes Pena against the cage but Pena circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Pena on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Suluhu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Suluhu lands a nice shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Suluhu throws the left hand but Pena avoids the punch easily.
Suluhu misses with a body shot.
Suluhu misses with a takedown
and Pena counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Suluhu!
Suluhu is rocked!
Pena scores with a big shot! Suluhu's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Suluhu! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Demarte Pena!
