Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Noble (ranked 25069 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jens Pulver (ranked 5561 p4p, 0 weight class). Jens Pulver has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lewis Noble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jens Pulver!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pulver shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Noble napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Pulver trying to control the action but Noble is working from the bottom.
Noble wants to get back to his feet.
Pulver controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pulver wants to control but Noble is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pulver decides to stand back up. Pulver steps back and let's Noble get back to his feet.

Pulver moves into range and clinches up with Noble.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Noble is trying to break the clinch but Pulver has him pressed against the cage.

Pulver gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Noble regains guard.
Pulver looking to pass the guard.
Noble has Pulver pulled in close to control his posture.
Pulver throwing strikes from guard but Noble blocks nicely.
Pulver looking to pass the guard.
Noble trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Pulver decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Noble, up you get!
Pulver throws a body kick, spinning off balance

so Noble counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Noble trying to control the position from guard on top but Pulver is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pulver is controlling Noble's posture.
Noble controls from within his opponent's guard.
Noble missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pulver controls Noble momentarily but Noble frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Noble has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pulver is proving hard to escape from.
Noble slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Pulver has Noble up against the cage in a clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Pulver breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pulver closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Noble did well to prevent Pulver getting side control.
Noble pushes Pulver off looking to stand but Pulver dives back in and keeps control.
Pulver is just content to waste time from the top position. Noble takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Pulver drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Noble dives on top into guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pulver looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jens Pulver will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Noble misses with a takedown
and Pulver counters with a three punch combo that has Noble backing up. Noble nods at Pulver to acknowledge the strikes.
Pulver lands with a kick to the ribs.

Pulver closes the distance and pushes Noble back into the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Noble.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Noble misses with a body punch.

Pulver's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lewis Noble is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pulver throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Noble went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pulver leaves Noble with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pulver lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


Noble is rocked!


It looks like Lewis Noble has been cut.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Pulver moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Noble! Pulver continues to tee off on Noble, landing with a left and a right! Pulver connects with a right hand that leaves Noble sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Pulver!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jens Pulver!
