Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Timothy Woodward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Harris!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Harris breaks from the clinch.
A head kick misses from Harris.
Woodward shoots for a double leg takedown but Harris sprawls well. He's pushed Woodward's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Harris explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Harris clinches with his opponent.
Woodward drops down looking for an ankle pick but Harris pulls his leg out and moves away.
Harris scores with a hook to the body. Woodward takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Timothy Woodward has been cut.

Harris drives through and clinches with Woodward against the cage.

Harris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Harris throws a predictable looking body shot

and Woodward counters with a single leg into guard. Harris didn't expect that.
Woodward won't allow Harris to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harris is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Woodward decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Harris, up you get!
Woodward could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Harris gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Harris prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timothy Woodward. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Harris is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Woodward is defending well for now.

Harris breaks the clinch.

and Woodward counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Woodward stands and steps away. Harris gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Harris explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Woodward is breathing heavily.

Harris tries a head kick but it misses.
Harris swings away with a body shot that misses

and Woodward counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Woodward.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Woodward missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Woodward wants to stand but Harris is controlling his posture from full guard.
Woodward has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Woodward stands up and waves to Harris to follow him.
Harris lands a nice leg kick that just misses Woodward's sensitive parts.

Harris lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Harris fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Woodward fails with a takedown attempt.
As Woodward backs off Harris throws a huge counter combo but Woodward manages to avoid it all.

Harris pushes Woodward up against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harris has managed to clinch.
Woodward tries for a takedown. No joy.
Woodward digs a right hand into Harris's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Harris's gas tank.

Harris pulls Woodward into guard.
Harris avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Harris is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Woodward is controlling him.
Woodward cracks Harris with a solid left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Woodward prevents Harris from getting back to his feet.
Woodward is in close to Harris's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Harris wants to get back to his feet but Woodward is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Woodward stands up over Harris, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Harris has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Harris has momentary wrist control but Woodward slips an elbow through the middle.

Woodward wants to get up but he can't break Harris's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Harris pushes Woodward off and gets back to his feet.

Harris gets a clinch.

Harris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick from Harris lands but Woodward takes it in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Harris clinches up against the cage.
Woodward tries to pull guard but Harris holds him up against the cage and eventually Woodward drops back down to his feet.

Harris wants the takedown. Woodward is fighting it off but Harris persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Woodward's guard against the cage.
Harris is breathing heavily.
Harris throws an elbow that misses. Woodward uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Harris's guard. Nice move by Woodward!

Woodward wants to stand but Harris is controlling his posture from full guard.

Harris controls Woodward momentarily but Woodward frees himself.
Harris seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Woodward lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Woodward stops Harris from standing up.
Harris utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Woodward got a little sloppy there for a moment and Harris has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Woodward has managed to get both his arms back between Harris's legs - danger averted.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Woodward tries to stand but Harris is controlling from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Marcus Harris will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Woodward is trying hard to land a takedown here. Harris sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Harris dives in and scores a takedown into Woodward's guard.

Woodward is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Harris presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Harris manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Woodward keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Harris takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The referee is keeping an eye on Harris - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Woodward drops down looking for an ankle pick but Harris pulls his leg out and moves away.

Harris manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Woodward keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Harris breaks the clinch.
Woodward moves in looking to clinch but Harris pushes him off.
An inside leg kick lands from Harris.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Woodward feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Harris has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Woodward is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Woodward shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Woodward gets tackled into the cage by Harris. Harris maintains the clinch.

Woodward pulls guard successfully.

Woodward is working an open guard so Harris takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Harris closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Woodward quickly recovers to half guard.
Woodward looks like he's trying to stand up.
Harris keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Harris is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Woodward doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Harris.
Harris stops Woodward from getting back to his feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Woodward has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Harris.
Woodward has his takedown stuffed
and Harris counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

And that's the end of the fight!
Marcus Harris comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Harris winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
