Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Noble (ranked 25132 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Makintosh (ranked 5518 p4p, 488 weight class). Makintosh has chosen 2PAC - FIGHTER as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lewis Noble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Makintosh!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Makintosh dives in and scores a takedown into Noble's guard.

Noble is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Makintosh is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Noble can't fight it off and eventually Makintosh manages to take the fight to the floor. Noble looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Noble has a closed guard, preventing Makintosh from standing up.
Noble avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Noble is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Makintosh defends well.
Makintosh throwing strikes from guard but Noble blocks nicely.

Makintosh distracts Noble with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Makintosh chips away with some ground and pound.
Makintosh throwing strikes but missing.
Makintosh has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Noble looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Makintosh throws an elbow that misses. Noble uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Makintosh's guard. Nice move by Noble!

Makintosh wants to get back to his feet but Noble is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Makintosh pulls Noble in to control the position.
Noble won't allow Makintosh to get back to his feet.
Noble preventing the sweep.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Noble drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Noble stops Makintosh from standing up.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Makintosh holds on and takes a little breather.
Noble postures up.
Makintosh has Noble pulled in close to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Makintosh is striking but Noble is not phased and passes to half guard.
Makintosh wants to improve his position but Noble is controlling well.
Noble content to control rather than advance.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Makintosh keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Makintosh is trying to get back to full guard.
Noble trying to control from half guard but Makintosh is working away.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Makintosh rushes Noble and presses him up against the cage.

Noble breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lewis Noble will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Makintosh tries to clinch but Noble moves out of range.
Noble went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Makintosh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Noble drops down looking for a counter takedown but Makintosh sprawls and moves away.

Noble darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Noble prevents Makintosh from standing back up.
Noble blocks the strikes from Makintosh.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Noble stops Makintosh from getting back to his feet.
Makintosh gets back to full guard.
Makintosh is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Noble is controlling him.

Noble is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Makintosh is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Makintosh has escaped and now he's on top!

Noble looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Makintosh looking to sit in guard and control but Noble gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Noble thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Noble won't allow Makintosh to sweep him here.
Makintosh is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Noble trying to control the position from guard on top but Makintosh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Makintosh shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Makintosh was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Makintosh misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The strikes coming from Makintosh are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Makintosh is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Noble knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Noble tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Makintosh in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Makintosh slows the pace down.

Makintosh is continuing to stall.

A close second round but Nathan Makintosh will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Makintosh changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Noble looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Makintosh is looking to take a break and control but Noble is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Makintosh tries to stand but Noble is controlling his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Makintosh cracks Noble with a big elbow.
Noble is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Makintosh fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Makintosh scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Noble to see if he's OK.
Noble takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Makintosh tries to move to mount but Noble blocks the move with his legs.
Noble managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Makintosh.
Noble is looking to reverse the position.
Makintosh works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Noble shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Makintosh as he jumps to the side.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Makintosh is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Makintosh fails in his attempt to clinch.
As Makintosh tries to get set, Noble tries to push him back and clinch up but Makintosh manages to avoid the attempt.

Makintosh clinches.
Noble tries to work over Makintosh's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Makintosh lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Noble wants to control but Makintosh is keeping busy.

Makintosh is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Noble sees it coming and defends easily.
Makintosh prevents Noble from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Makintosh thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Makintosh throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Makintosh missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Noble on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Noble tries to kick Makintosh off but Makintosh keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Makintosh working the head and body with strikes.
Makintosh wants to stand up but Noble is controlling the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Makintosh shoots in and bounces Noble off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nathan Makintosh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Makintosh has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
