Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Pittman (ranked 25078 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daeng Rurung (ranked 5397 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Daeng Rurung enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rurung scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Rurung grinds an elbow into Pittman's temple.
Rurung moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Rurung swings around for an armbar but Pittman sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rurung's guard.
Rurung manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pittman manages to get himself to full guard.

Rurung is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Let's hope that Rurung has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Pittman can't keep his opponent in guard - Rurung advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rurung perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Rurung is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Pittman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rurung is controlling him.

Pittman is squirming around, avoiding Rurung's attempts to control the action.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pittman is in a horrible position here. Rurung smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Rurung darts in looking for a takedown but Pittman gets double underhooks and turns Rurung into the cage.
An attempted straight right counter from Pittman misses the target.
Pittman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Rurung closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pittman's guard.
Rurung wants to control from the top but Pittman keeps moving.
Pittman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rurung works to advance to full mount. Pittman defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rurung drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rurung seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Pittman is looking to stand back up but Rurung counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Pittman.

Rurung is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pittman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rurung.

Rurung seems to be working for a kimura but Pittman defends the submission attempt.

Rurung is pressing down on Pittman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pittman is holding on for now.
Well, if Rurung is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pittman tries to roll over but Rurung keeps him under control.

Rurung in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Pittman tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Rurung!
