Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Great Tiger (ranked 1003 p4p, 104 weight class) and Stanley Kubrick (ranked 1609 p4p, 160 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Darius Henderson and Francis DeMontford.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiger thows a left - swing and a miss!
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kubrick has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Sloppy strikes from Kubrick. Those never looked like landing.
Tiger slips under a jab.
Tiger misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kubrick is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
A clash of legs there as Kubrick blocks the low kick.
Kubrick throws a shot from downtown. Tiger moves away and avoids it.

Kubrick moves forwards but Tiger connects with a nice, crisp jab.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kubrick throws a right and a left that Tiger avoids nicely.
Kubrick bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tiger's head backwards.
Kubrick chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tiger can pounce on him.
Tiger throws the kick towards the body but Kubrick avoids it.

and Tiger counters with a stiff right hand.

Tiger fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kubrick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Tiger.
Tiger avoids the body shot from Kubrick.
Tiger is looking to counter with head kicks.
Tiger throws a nice inside leg kick.
Tiger thuds his right hand into Kubrick's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kubrick misses with a hook. Tiger ducked under it nicely.

Kubrick throws out a loose jab but Tiger uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tiger lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Kubrick closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kubrick lands in his opponent's guard.
Tiger is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Kubrick wants to control from the top but Tiger keeps moving.

Kubrick tries to free his leg and advance position but Tiger is retaining full guard.

Tiger is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kubrick defends well.

Kubrick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tiger swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tiger has momentary wrist control but Kubrick slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tiger is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kubrick looking to pass the guard.
Kubrick must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Tiger looking for a sweep. Not yet Tiger, not yet.
Kubrick throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tiger works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kubrick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tiger swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A close round but Stanley Kubrick will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Tiger lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Great Tiger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kubrick throws a shot from downtown. Tiger moves away and avoids it.
Tiger throws a big shot that misses.
Tiger keeps Kubrick at a distance using the push kick.

Kubrick looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Kubrick scores with a hook to the body. Tiger takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Kubrick throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tiger was covering up waiting for the punch and Kubrick finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kubrick wants to control from the top but Tiger keeps moving.

Kubrick passes Tiger's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Stanley Kubrick has got the better of the ground game so far.
Tiger wants to control but Kubrick is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Tiger is looking to improve his position.
Kubrick passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tiger!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kubrick is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tiger can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
