Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Terrence Pitts (ranked 25062 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axel Solomon (ranked 5344 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solomon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Solomon wants it to stay on the feet.

Solomon rushes Pitts and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Solomon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Solomon throws a combination. Pitts tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Terrence Pitts has been cut.
Pitts has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Solomon.
Solomon tries to bum rush Pitts with a series of wild strikes but Pitts uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
It looked like Pitts wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Solomon closes the distance and clinches.
Pitts keeps control of Solomon as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Pitts is struggling to control the position.
Solomon is looking to break free of the clinch but Pitts has double underhooks.

Pitts breaks from the clinch.
A combination from Solomon does no damage.

Pitts tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Solomon swivels and escapes.

Solomon gets the takedown into side control.
Solomon trying to control the action but Pitts is working from the bottom.
Pitts is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Pitts sneaks back into half guard.
Pitts strikes from the bottom but Solomon uses the opportunity to move to side control.

Solomon lands some shots froms side control.
Pitts is looking to regain half guard here but Solomon keeps moving and retains side control.
Pitts struggling a bit here.
Pitts tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pitts is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pitts is trying to get back to full guard.
Pitts is refusing to be controlled, as Solomon sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pitts wants to improve his position but Solomon is controlling well.
Pitts keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Pitts wants to control but Solomon is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pitts has a hand on Solomon's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Solomon takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pitts manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Solomon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pitts's head.
Solomon wants to free his trapped foot but Pitts is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Pitts trying to control from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pitts tries to roll over but Solomon keeps him under control.

Solomon stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Axel Solomon dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Solomon drives through with a takedown into guard.

Pitts manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Solomon has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Solomon throws a one two combo.

Pitts is rocked!
Solomon lands with a big right hook that stumbles Pitts - he's out on his feet here! Solomon follows up with another monster hook that separates Pitts from consciousness! Pitts falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Solomon stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
