Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gerry Hodge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, So Ka!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hodge, pushing him back against the cage.

Ka manages to break the clinch.

Hodge moves into the clinch.

Ka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hodge has Ka up against the cage in a clinch.
Hodge slows down the pace here.
Hodge jumps guard but Ka turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hodge jumps guard but Ka stands there with Hodge around his waist. Hodge gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hodge tries to pull guard but Ka won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gerry Hodge. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hodge tries to pull guard but Ka forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Ka cracks Hodge with a nice body shot.
Ka lands a nice knee to the body.
Hodge really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ka lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Ka breaks from the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ka wants to clinch up but Hodge keeps it at a distance.
Ka lands a nice looking body kick.

Ka darts in and clinches Hodge up against the cage.
Hodge jumps guard but Ka turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Ka creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Hodge's defenses.


It looks like Gerry Hodge has been cut.

Ka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ka throws a right hand that Hodge ducks under and follows up with a left that Hodge also avoids with ease.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ka instigates a clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for Ka.
Ka works on Hodge's body with a couple of short punches.
Ka lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Ka manages to break the clinch.

Ka takes the fight into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hodge jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ka walks away with a smile on his face. Hodge gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
So Ka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hodge drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Ka throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Hodge clinches up against the cage.
Ka lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hodge backwards.

Ka breaks from the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ka ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ka lands a jab to Hodge's midsection.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ka moves into the clinch.
Ka lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hodge backwards.
Hodge jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ka walks away with a smile on his face. Hodge gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ka has Hodge up against the cage in a clinch.
Hodge fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Ka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ka pushes Hodge up against the cage in a clinch.
Ka lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Ka breaks from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

So Ka dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Gerry Hodge's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Ka bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Ka moves into the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Ka scores with a nice short uppercut.


Hodge is rocked!
Ka creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Hodge's defenses.
Oh Hodge is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
So Ka seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Clinched against the cage, Ka lands a big elbow that drops Hodge! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Hodge is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). So Ka!
