Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henri Jospin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Jai White!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jospin throws a nice head kick!
White throws a predictable looking body shot
and Jospin counters with a nice body shot.
Jospin looks to land a combination but White avoids it well.
White let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
A low kick from Jospin misses
enabling White to counter with a crisp jab.
Jospin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
White goes for a double leg but Jospin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Jospin continues to drive forward.
Jospin throws a body shot but no joy.
Nice takedown defense from Jospin. No joy for White on that attempt.
White misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Henri Jospin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Jai White.

White closes the distance and clinches up with Jospin, looking for a takedown. White pushes Jospin against the ropes but Jospin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

White fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jospin manages to avoid it.

Jospin throws a right and a left that White avoids nicely.

White looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

White tries for a kimura but Jospin is defending well.
White is looking to take a break and control but Jospin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close round but I would say that Henri Jospin will probably get the nod.

Jospin throws a hook to the side of White's head but White sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

White throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jospin but Jospin pushes him off and we're back to square one.

White scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

White ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jospin moves away.
Jospin swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Jospin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
White jabs Jospin to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Jospin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
White lands an overhand right.
A shot to the liver by White. Beautiful body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

White darts in looking for a takedown but Jospin gets double underhooks and turns White into the ropes.
Jospin went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
White fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jospin manages to avoid it.
White shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jospin pinned against the ropes. Jospin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for White. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
White tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jospin defends well and White ends up having to push Jospin into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.

White is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jospin is just riding it out for now. White eventually gives up the hold.
