Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Bean (ranked 5471 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willy Killew (ranked 5390 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rodrigo Bean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Willy Killew!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Killew gets caught flat footed, as Bean shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Killew pulls Bean in close to his closed guard and prevents Bean from doing any damage or advancing position.
Killew is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bean is controlling him.
Bean with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bean in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bean working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bean throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Killew works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killew preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Killew wants to sweep here but Bean controlling him for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bean accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bean would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Killew working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bean.

Killew is trying to control the position but Bean postures up.
Bean with a flurry of punches that miss.
Killew wants to stand up but Bean is controlling him.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Killew displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bean.

Killew shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Killew showed some decent athleticism there.

Bean trying to control but Killew postures up.
Killew is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Killew is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Bean has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Killew is working away from the top position though.

Killew content to control rather than advance.
Let's hope that Killew has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bean scores with a takedown into Killew's guard.

Bean throwing strikes but missing.
Killew not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Bean avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bean postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bean got a little sloppy there for a moment and Killew has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bean has managed to get both his arms back between Killew's legs - danger averted.
Bean throwing strikes but missing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rodrigo Bean will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Killew wants to clinch.
Bean is looking to counter the offense by Killew and move into the clinch.

Killew gets a takedown into half guard.
Bean tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killew is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Killew goes for an armbar but Bean turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bean.
Bean prevents Killew from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Killew bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bean's guard.

Bean seems keen to control Killew's posture.
Bean is trying to keep Killew in close.

Killew pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bean is keeping the position for now.
Killew wants to control from the top but Bean keeps moving.

Bean throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Bean will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Killew.

Bean is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Killew working the body and head with strikes.

Killew is trying to get an arm triangle but Bean is defending well.

Killew working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Killew is putting a hurting on Bean here, landing some big shots from side control.

Willy Killew showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Killew drives through with a takedown into Bean's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Killew has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Killew scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Killew trying to control the position from guard on top but Bean is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Killew postures up in Bean's guard and throws a big left but Bean blocks it.
Bean really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Killew engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Killew wants to pass the guard but Bean is keeping the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Bean controls Killew momentarily but Killew frees himself.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Killew scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Willy Killew has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bean can't do much from the bottom here.
Killew is chipping away with strikes.

Killew tries to advance to mount but can't.
Killew tries to stand but Bean is controlling his head.

Bean trying to remain calm as Killew controls from the top position.

Killew connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bean some visible discomfort.

Oh Bean is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Killew is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bean has escaped the position, nice work there.
Killew scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Bean is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Killew can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
