Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chet Mckenzie (ranked 24522 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renan Pacheco (ranked 5295 p4p, 0 weight class). Renan Pacheco will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chet Mckenzie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Renan Pacheco!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mckenzie closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pacheco's guard.

Pacheco manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Mckenzie is trying to push Pacheco away but Pacheco has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Pacheco is trying to break free.
Pacheco stalling in the clinch.
Pacheco just leaning against Mckenzie, taking a breather.
Pacheco continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Mckenzie lands with a light punch inside.
Mckenzie utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Mckenzie could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mckenzie is pushing Pacheco up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Mckenzie stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Pacheco will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mckenzie up against the cage.

Pacheco gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mckenzie to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Mckenzie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mckenzie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mckenzie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pacheco pulls Mckenzie in to control the position.

Mckenzie stands up from Pacheco's guard - Mckenzie perhaps looking for a knockout.

and Pacheco counters with a nice uppercut.
Mckenzie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A quick step to the side and Mckenzie tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Mckenzie shoots in and gets a takedown into Pacheco's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pacheco wants to sweep here but Mckenzie controlling him for the moment.
Mckenzie controls from within his opponent's guard.
Mckenzie tries to stand but Pacheco is controlling from the bottom.
We've been informed that Pacheco has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Mckenzie drops back looking for a leg! Pacheco is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pacheco manages to kick Mckenzie off! Mckenzie jumps back into Pacheco's guard.

Mckenzie wants to get up but he can't break Pacheco's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That was a close round but I would say that Chet Mckenzie will probably get the nod.
That's time! Mckenzie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Pacheco throws a nice looking combination but Mckenzie bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mckenzie doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pacheco cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Pacheco has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Mckenzie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pacheco is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mckenzie.
Pacheco takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mckenzie uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pacheco.
Mckenzie half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Mckenzie drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Pacheco misses with a looping left.

Mckenzie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Mckenzie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pacheco manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mckenzie has Pacheco in his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mckenzie has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Mckenzie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pacheco's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Renan Pacheco showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mckenzie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pacheco paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Mckenzie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Renan Pacheco comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Pacheco has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
