The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez clinches with his opponent.
Draganov is trying to break the clinch but Velasquez is controlling him.
Draganov jumps guard and drags Velasquez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Velasquez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Draganov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Velasquez defends it easily.
Draganov tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Velasquez content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Velasquez is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Velasquez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Draganov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Velasquez has managed to get both his arms back between Draganov's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Velasquez connects with a nice short shot to Draganov's temple.
Still in half guard, Velasquez seems content to control.
Velasquez takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Velasquez is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Velasquez wants to control but Draganov is keeping him busy.
Velasquez is nestled in close to Draganov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Velasquez lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Draganov! More strikes land and this one is all over! Velasquez jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
