Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Fitzgerald !
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzgerald throws a head kick but Wallace moves out of range.
Wallace wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Wallace tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fitzgerald sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wallace somewhat.
Wallace throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fitzgerald 's waist but Fitzgerald gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wallace off to one side.
Fitzgerald lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Tommy Wallace has been cut.

Fitzgerald dives in and scores a takedown into Wallace's guard.

Wallace is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fitzgerald is controlling him.

Wallace is looking to sweep but instead, Fitzgerald has passed into half guard.

Fitzgerald wants to control but Wallace is keeping him busy.
Fitzgerald stops Wallace from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wallace misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Fitzgerald is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Still in half guard, Fitzgerald seems content to control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Let's hope that Fitzgerald has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fitzgerald wants to control from the top but Wallace keeps moving.

Wallace has his foot on Fitzgerald 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fitzgerald works his way back into a safe position though.

Fitzgerald tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wallace manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wallace throws a head kick that misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wallace.

Fitzgerald drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wallace bucks up and tries to throw Fitzgerald off but instead Fitzgerald has got his back!
What can Wallace do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Wallace is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Fitzgerald gets his way!

Wallace rolls, trying to escape but Fitzgerald keeps control of the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Will Fitzgerald go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Fitzgerald is looking for the choke from the back position but Wallace is controlling his hands well.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Fitzgerald .

Fitzgerald tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wallace swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Fitzgerald goes for a double leg but Wallace avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wallace continues to drive forward.

and Fitzgerald counters with a three punch combo that has Wallace backing up. Wallace nods at Fitzgerald to acknowledge the strikes.
Fitzgerald will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Fitzgerald dives in and grabs Wallace's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wallace pushes down on Fitzgerald 's head and hops out.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tommy Wallace will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wallace keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wallace shoots for a takedown but Fitzgerald saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wallace changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fitzgerald tries to avoid it but Wallace manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fitzgerald to the ground. Fitzgerald escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
