Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ezraas Kaled!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Guy Brazier!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kaled clinches with his opponent.

Kaled decides to pull guard.
Kaled is pulling down on Brazier's head to control his posture.

Kaled looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Brazier loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Brazier has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kaled looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brazier is one step ahead there.

Kaled looking for subs off his back but Brazier has passed one foot through into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brazier is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Brazier wants to free his trapped foot but Kaled is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Brazier gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Kaled looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Brazier has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kaled off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Brazier takes a head kick and keeps coming.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kaled stuns Brazier with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Brazier fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kaled darts in looking for a takedown but Brazier gets double underhooks and turns Kaled into the cage.

Brazier tries to keep at a distance but Kaled has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kaled pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kaled clinches up with Brazier and pushes him back against the cage.

Kaled escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Brazier stalling in the clinch but Kaled improves position.

Kaled jumps guard.
Kaled is trying to control the position but Brazier postures up.
Kaled looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brazier is one step ahead there.

Kaled looking for a guillotine here but Brazier defends easily.
Brazier's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brazier preventing the sweep.

Brazier decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Brazier shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kaled sprawls well. Kaled wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brazier gets slowly back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Brazier scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ezraas Kaled dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Brazier looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kaled closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Brazier has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Kaled is on him like a limpet, forcing Brazier back against the cage.
Kaled jumps guard but Brazier turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Kaled has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Brazier uses from the top position.
Brazier wants to control from the top but Kaled keeps moving.

Kaled really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brazier is breathing heavily.
Brazier passes Kaled's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Kaled is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Brazier pulls his head out easily.
Kaled wants to control but Brazier is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Brazier decides to stand and escape the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Brazier shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kaled napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Brazier decides to take the fight back to the feet.
A combination from Brazier does no damage.

Kaled shoots in and gets a takedown into Brazier's guard.

Brazier is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Kaled lands a nice knee to the body.
Brazier looking to slow down the pace here.

Kaled turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Brazier throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Brazier tries to clinch but Kaled is having none of it.
Kaled fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Ezraas Kaled is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Brazier throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kaled drops down looking for a counter takedown but Brazier sprawls and moves away.

Brazier tries to keep at a distance but Kaled has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kaled lands a body punch in the clinch.

Kaled breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kaled throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brazier's waist but Brazier gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kaled off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ezraas Kaled. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Brazier shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Guy Brazier has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kaled looking for submissions off his back.
Kaled has his hands clasped together around Brazier's back. He's all about the action.
Kaled is looking to control Brazier's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kaled avoid being mounted?

Guy Brazier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Kaled doesn't manage to clinch there - Brazier circles away.
Brazier shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kaled as he avoids it easily.
A head kick from Kaled lands but Brazier takes it in his stride.

Kaled shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kaled showed some decent athleticism there.

Brazier manages to escape and get back to his feet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kaled is struggling to control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Brazier tries to pull guard but Kaled won't allow it.

Kaled escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Brazier gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kaled postures up.

Kaled decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Brazier, up you get!
Kaled lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Brazier backs up against the cage.

Kaled throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brazier tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kaled is in Brazier's guard.
Brazier wants to sweep here but Kaled controlling him for the moment.
Kaled has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kaled wants to control from the top but Brazier keeps moving.
Brazier looking to control but Kaled passes into half guard.

Brazier is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kaled pulls his head out easily.
Brazier wants to improve his position but Kaled is controlling well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brazier tries to roll over but Kaled keeps him under control.
Kaled will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kaled is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Kaled has closed the distance and engaged Brazier in a clinch.

Kaled's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brazier tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kaled swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kaled clinches.
Kaled drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Brazier gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kaled misses with a knee to the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ezraas Kaled showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Kaled has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
