And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerome Steel!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel throws a hook but Boucher avoids it easily.
Steel misses with a jab, cross combination.
Steel scores with a body shot.

Boucher leaves Steel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Boucher went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Boucher ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steel misses with a combination
and Boucher counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Boucher tries to close the distance and clinch but Steel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Steel jumps guard but Boucher stands there with Steel around his waist. Steel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Boucher has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Steel has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boucher tries to close the distance and clinch but Steel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Steel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Steel paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Boucher throws a series of strikes that have Steel backpedaling.

Steel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Boucher sprawls well. Boucher wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Steel gets slowly back to his feet.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Boucher here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Boucher tries to clinch there but Steel circles away.
As Boucher backs off Steel throws a huge counter combo but Boucher manages to avoid it all.
Boucher throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Steel tries to counter with a clinch but Boucher shakes him off and moves away.

Boucher closes the distance and pushes Steel back into the cage.
Boucher wants to take the fight to the mat but Steel manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brandon Boucher.
Well Boucher has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
