The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lyon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ortega's guard.

Ortega is looking for a triangle but Lyon pushes his legs off easily.
Ortega utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Ortega is looking to stand up but Lyon isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lyon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lyon is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ortega rolls with it to try and escape but Lyon cranks on the arm and Ortega is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
