PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Crespo (ranked 1811 p4p, 181 weight class) and Magomed Magomedov (ranked 2181 p4p, 203 weight class). Crespo comes to the cage accompanied by Toxic Waltz. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magomed Magomedov!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Magomedov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Magomedov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Crespo can pounce on him.
Crespo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Magomedov moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Magomedov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Magomedov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A cross from Crespo lands.
Crespo sizes up Magomedov with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Magomedov throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Crespo is rocked!
Good standup being displayed there by Magomedov as he connects with a hook.
Oh Crespo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Magomedov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
An attempted straight right counter from Crespo misses the target.
Magomedov keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Crespo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Crespo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Magomedov throws a head kick that misses.
It looked like Crespo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Magomedov misses with a straight right.
Magomedov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Magomedov misses with a series of wild punches.
Crespo looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Magomedov circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Crespo to the canvas! Crespo doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Magomedov keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

After winning the bout, Magomed Magomedov thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
