Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Donver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ranulf Drengot!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drengot changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Drengot fails with the takedown
and Donver counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Donver looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Donver lands a big right hand that sends Drengot crashing to the mat! Donver stays standing though and waves Drengot back to his feet!
Drengot is rocked!
Donver blocks a low kick nicely.
Drengot is still on wobbly legs! Can Donver finish him?
Drengot drops his hands momentarily. Donver doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Drengot staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Drengot doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ben Donver!
In defeat, Ranulf Drengot stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm so disappointed, but I will be back!'.
