Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clayton Bigsby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Enter Sandman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ricardo Reis will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Clayton Bigsby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Reis!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bigsby takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A nice leg kick lands there from Reis.

Reis clinches.
Reis lands an elbow that stopped Bigsby in his tracks for a moment.


It looks like Clayton Bigsby has been cut.
Bigsby drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Reis gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bigsby is breathing heavily.
Bigsby fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Reis unloads a knee to the mid-section. Bigsby lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reis will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bigsby up against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Reis.
A bit of stalling here from Reis.
Reis lands a knee to the body.
Reis is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Reis manages to break the clinch.
Reis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bigsby on the side of the head.
Reis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Reis buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reis lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Reis misses with a two punch combination.

Reis throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Bigsby stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Reis follows into mount!


Bigsby is rocked!
Reis controlling his opponent.
Oh Bigsby is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bigsby seems to have got his legs back now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bigsby keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Reis looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ricardo Reis dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Clayton Bigsby's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Reis throws a nice inside leg kick.

Reis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bigsby, pushing him back against the cage.
Reis with a knee to the head.

Reis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Reis.

A big head kick from Reis and Bigsby is sent sprawling to the canvas!


Bigsby is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Reis decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bigsby, up you get!
Oh Bigsby is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ricardo Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reis rushes Bigsby and presses him up against the cage.

Reis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bigsby seems to have got his legs back now.
A good leg kick by Reis.

Reis clinches up against the cage.
Reis stalls.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Reis connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bigsby's face.
Reis unloads a knee to the mid-section. Bigsby lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Reis creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Bigsby's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Bigsby drops to his knees and Reis pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricardo Reis!
