Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tom Winkle (ranked 6371 p4p, 395 weight class) and Robert Hongo (ranked 8156 p4p, 444 weight class). The key to victory for Tom Winkle has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Robert Hongo!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Hongo leaves Winkle with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And Hongo tries to counter it with a takedown but Winkle pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Winkle shoots in but no luck this time.

Hongo is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Winkle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Winkle shoots and misses
and Hongo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Winkle controls Hongo momentarily but Hongo frees himself.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Winkle is on top in guard.
Hongo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Winkle is trying to control. Hongo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Winkle is stalling here. Hongo is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Winkle seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hongo has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Winkle is looking for a sweep. Hongo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Winkle slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Winkle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hongo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Winkle has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Hongo should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Winkle has tightened it up now! Hongo should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
