Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sandayu Winger (ranked 614 p4p, 87 weight class) and Michael Cole (ranked 207 p4p, 26 weight class). Cole has chosen I Won't Back Down as his entrance music. Sandayu Winger has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Sandayu Winger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Cole!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Winger is defended easily by Cole.
Cole appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Cole cracks Winger with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Sandayu Winger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Winger shoots in looking for a takedown. Cole tries to sprawl out of it but Winger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cole manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cole tries to move into range but Winger moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Winger.
Cole doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Nice uppercut lands for Winger. That snapped Cole's head back.

Winger tries to counter with a takedown but Cole is quick to defend against it.
Cole uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Winger.
Cole steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Winger.
Cole throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Winger misses with an uppercut.
Cole throws out a counter right but Winger avoids it with no problem.
Winger misses with a straight right.
Donk. Cole catches Winger right on the button with a cross.
Winger fails to land with a series of punches.
Cole cracks Winger with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Cole is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Winger.
Cole scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cole stuffs the takedown attempt from Winger. Winger gets slowly back to his feet.

Winger closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cole is looking to improve his position.
Cole keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Winger is keen to just control but Cole is a slippery customer.
Cole makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cole.

Cole wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Cole is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Winger postures up in Cole's guard and throws a big left but Cole blocks it.

Cole is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Winger wants to control but Cole is keeping busy.
Winger has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Winger is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Winger has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Cole escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Cole!

Cole is looking to take a break and control but Winger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Winger avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Michael Cole seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Winger takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Winger lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cole circles away quickly and effectively.

Cole slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Winger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cole can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Winger escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cole gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Michael Cole showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Winger tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cole defends well and Winger ends up having to push Cole into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A nice side step and Cole releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sandayu Winger.
I think Cole has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
