The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hustle throws a hook but Vainio blocks it.
Vainio misses with an uppercut
and Hustle counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hustle has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Hustle keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Vainio's head.
Vainio wants to stand but Hustle is controlling the position.

Hustle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vainio swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and Hustle counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Vainio!

Vainio parries the strikes from Hustle easily there. Hustle is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Vainio to escape.
