Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antoine Knight (ranked 25474 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Jomaro (ranked 25495 p4p, 0 weight class). Oleg Jomaro is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Antoine Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oleg Jomaro!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jomaro shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Knight counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jomaro shoots in and drives through. Knight sprawls well.
Jomaro has his takedown stuffed
and Knight counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Antoine Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Jomaro.
Knight lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Jomaro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Knight sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jomaro somewhat.
As Jomaro tries to get set, Knight tries to push him back and clinch up but Jomaro manages to avoid the attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jomaro shoots in for a double leg but Knight sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jomaro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Knight changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Knight lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Knight decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jomaro's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Knight is working Jomaro over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Knight keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jomaro's head.

Jomaro pulls Knight in close to prevent any damage.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jomaro walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Jomaro dives in and grabs Knight's left leg, looking for a takedown. Knight pushes down on Jomaro's head and hops out.
Jomaro takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Knight lands with a slapping head kick.
Jomaro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Knight tries to avoid it but Jomaro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Knight to the ground. Knight escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
