Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jonthan Henry (ranked 2883 p4p, 312 weight class) and Simon Budimon (ranked 1488 p4p, 182 weight class). Henry kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is hit em up . Simon Budimon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Budimon finds it's way through Henry 's defenses.
Nice shot lands for Budimon.
Henry shoots in looking for a takedown. Budimon tries to sprawl out of it but Henry keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Budimon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Good leg kick by Budimon there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Budimon has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Jonthan Henry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Henry clinches.
Henry is looking for a takedown.
Henry tries to score a body lock takedown but Budimon shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Budimon goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Henry drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Budimon gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Budimon works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Henry has Budimon pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Budimon manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Henry has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Budimon avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Budimon lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Henry gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Budimon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Henry is trying hard to land a takedown here. Budimon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Budimon scores with the left hand. Henry knows he should have avoided that one.
Henry will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Henry closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

and Budimon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Budimon lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Budimon lands a left and a right that send Henry crashing to the mat, dazed. Budimon thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Henry is rocked!
We've been told by Henry 's head coaches at St Petersburg MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
A jab lands there for Budimon.
Oh Henry is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Henry is looking to clinch.
Henry gets a clinch.
Budimon lands an uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Budimon lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Budimon lands a big right hand that drops Henry ! The killer instinct kicks in and Budimon finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Budimon!
