Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyson Richards!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Lee!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards scores with a jab to the head.


It looks like Brandon Lee has been cut.

Lee feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Richards avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lee passes Richards's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Lee stands up from guard. Let's bang!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lee lands with a shot to the body.
Richards is breathing heavily.
Lee moves out of range as Richards throws a body kick.

Lee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Richards's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Richards was well out of range. Poor timing from Lee.
Richards looks to land a left hand but Lee moved out of range nicely.
Lee looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Richards takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Brandon Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Richards fails with the takedown.
Lee misses with a wild combination.
Lee throws a low kick but it's checked well by Richards.
Lee cracks Richards with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lee working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lee is looking to take a break and control but Richards is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Richards stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet.
Lee throws a head kick but Richards moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee misses with a takedown attempt - Richards sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Richards manages to avoid it.
Richards shoots in and drives through. Lee sprawls well.
Brandon Lee seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Richards gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Richards sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tyson Richards has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Lee.
Richards misses with a looping right.

Lee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lee lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Richards down.

Lee postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

and Lee counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Lee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lee moves out of range as Richards strikes.

Lee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Richards is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lee connects with a decent elbow.

Lee cracks Richards with a right hand to the side of the head.

Lee drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Lee scores with a couple of short elbows.
Richards managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Lee.
Lee is chipping away with strikes.

Lee is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Richards has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lee postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!



Lee clinches with his opponent.

Richards goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Richards avoids the body shot from Lee.
Richards uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lee.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Richards moves out of range easily.
Richards scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Richards swings for the body but Lee moves out of range.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
Lee tries to clinch there but Richards circles away.

and Richards counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Lee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Richards parries the strikes from Lee easily there. Lee is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Richards to escape.
Lee misses with the ground and pound.
The ground and pound from Lee seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Lee stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Lee darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Richards is trying to maintain the position but Lee is very close to passing his half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lee in particular looking to stall.
Lee is trying to control the action in half guard but Richards is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Lee thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lee slips a nice elbow through Richards's hands, connecting with Richards's forehead.

Lee in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Richards tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Lee!
