The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kiel paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kiel gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Silva looking to throw knees to the head but Kiel is blocking nicely.
Silva has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kiel regains guard immediately.
Kiel wants to stand and escape but Silva is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva wants to control from the top but Kiel keeps moving.
Silva forces his way into half guard.
Silva tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kiel knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Silva lands a nice short elbow.
Silva is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kiel is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
